Warroad's fish Fest 2012!
 Warroad
Cub Scout Pack 151 is pleased to announce the date for this year’s
walleye fry competition. Fish Fest 2012 will be held Saturday, July
28th on the banks of the Warroad River next to Riverside Bait and
Tackle in Warroad.
After a year hiatus, Fish Fest will return with even more prizes
for those willing to enter the area’s most unique cook-off event! Up
to 12 teams will compete for $1400 in cash prizes as they fry their
best walleye! First place will be awarded $500, second place will
receive $300 and third place; $150. Added this year is $300 for
People’s Choice and $150 for Showmanship.
Fish Fest began in 2006 and has grown in popularity every year.
Up to 12 teams will serve nearly 300 pounds of walleye to a panel of
judges and a capacity crowd of people’s choice voters. The
competition runs from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with judging at noon and
public sampling from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Team registration is open. Team entry fee is $50 if registered
before June 30, $75 after June 30. For more information or to
