Fishing Report: July 2, 2009 Springsteel Resort Access: Fishing has been steady, even through the winds and waves of the past few days. Anglers are still finding the best luck at the South Point of Buffalo drifting in 15 to 16 feet of water. Plenty of nice eaters coming in the 16 to 19 inch range. Zippel Bay Resort Access: After the weather of last weekend, anglers are finding their best bet is in the shallows. Try heading across the lake or to the South Shore in 6 to 12 foot depths using crawlers. Folks have also headed to lighthouse gap and found a good bite there. Long Point Resort: It's starting to pick up again after the wind. Anglers are still doing well jigging in 10 to 20 foot depths at the green buoy. Some have even found downrigging to be very successful. Nice size to the fish and the trophys are out there! Good Luck fishing Lake of the Woods!
